Ouch … Microsoft gets another slap on the wrist from the Korean Fair Trade commission.

From BetaNews:

Less than a month after it reached a $30 million settlement with South Korean Internet portal Daum, Microsoft has been fined another $32 million by the country’s Fair Trade Commission. The Korean FTC has also ordered Microsoft to unbundle its instant messaging client and media player from Windows, and link to competing software.

It’s not a terribly big fine when you compare it to Microsoft’s annual revenues, but it does send a clear message … Microsoft - you are doing something wrong !!

The problem is - will Microsoft actually listen ? I doubt it.

Of course, Microsoft responded with the usual threats of potentially delaying offering new versions in Korea or even withdrawing the operating system entirely.

And this isn’t the first time it’s happened - there was previously a 497 Million Euro Fine Against Microsoft for similar offences.
