Lenovo, the Chinese company which purchased IBM’s PC division last year is taking its own brand global. Until now, Lenovo branded PCs have only been available in China.

The first products to be sold under the Lenovo brand are low-priced desktop and laptop machines targeted at small businesses and consumers - and won’t rely exclusively on Intel CPUs, but will also include AMD processors.

With the combined IBM and Lenovo branded businesses, IDC currently has Lenovo listed as the #3 company in worldwide marketshare behind Dell and HP.
