CRN: Lenovo named a CRN company to watch

When Lenovo completed its purchase of the former IBM PC business, there were doubts and questions throughout the channel about whether the company would succeed where IBM could not.

The company is starting to answer those questions.

Lenovo stepped away from of the IBM playbook of stodgy, business-black designs with its flagship ThinkPad and introduced titanium covers and EV-DO connectivity. And in 2006, with new dual-core processor technology expected from Intel and software from Microsoft set to hit the market, Lenovo is working to position itself as the company to watch in the mobile PC space.
