IBM recently released another podcast in their “Future of” series - “IBM and the Future of Sports”. This podcast looks at the way technology has changed the nature of sports - the way they are played, the way they are watched, and the way athletes train and prepare.

There is a greater use of technology in many sports now; modern composite materials used for the sporting tools and equipment; new tracking and timing technology to measure and analyse; new media facilities for closer-then-ever views of the action.

How much technology is too much? When does it stop being about the people and start being only about the technology?
