IBM Growing Rapidly in India

Stan Gibson writes for eWeek about IBM’s rapid growth in India. Apparently, the IBM workforce in India is now as high as 38,000, and only the United States has more IBM employess.
Despite the cultural differences, and the relatively “young” experience of the workforce, IBM seems to be making good progress in that market - and not only in offshore outsourcing - IBM also has a good customer base in India itself.

When you say IBM - is it IBM (the core sofware company) or IBM GS (services arm)?
I think it’s the services arm that has most of the head count. IBM is growing fast in India, but very quiet about it.
