I’ve embedded the three that I know of from YouTube. The link to where IBM has posted the 3-part series is here. Kudos to Bob Hoey for not taking himself too seriously to do this sort of thing. It does a lot to change the face of his division to have this sort of campaign. And everyone loves a little self-deprecation.

Lastly, while I’m on the commercial kick, I found this interesting. Apparently the guy IBM cast in a commercial in late 2005 as the boss of a minority helpdesk employee has an alter-ego — “The Amazing Racist”. I didn’t hear about it until now and the link is still on IBM’s site so I guess the controversy wasn’t that large but the blog at Commodore69 does have quite a lively discussion of the topic in the comments.

January 19th, 2007 at 6:19 am[…] The encouraging part of the release was that services division is growing much faster than it had been (maybe IBM wasn’t lying when they said there were some contracts in Q3 that were held up). The blemish on earnings was the hardware division, which, other than Bob Hoey’s fine advertisements, have been pretty neglected. That said, IBM will fare as their services division does. IBM spent some money on those, both in time and production. They aren’ do-it-yourself quality. They better “change perceptions”. I guess they can afford it.
