IBM to Make Dumbed-Down Chip for a Portable Gamecube?

Per Joystix.com, a rumor was posted for a few minutes this morning that IBM was in the process of shrinking the Wii’s Broadway chip for a “future Nintendo handheld — presumably one that plays Gamecube discs.”
He acknowledges that the rumor may be false, but rumors or kind of fun regardless.

IBM buys MRO Software

Admittedly, I’d never heard of MRO Software until this announcement.  They make an asset and service management system and have a decent client list.  IBM intends to roll this into Tivoli.  I am philosophically in favor of IBM buying capabilities and a foothold in the market… particularly when it can be done on the cheap […]

Digital River to Sell IBM Tivoli

I’ll have to remember to watch and see if anything comes of this. IBM’s consumer division has been going downhill for 2 decades. I guess they could market professionals who see value in the brand. It strikes me as a bad direction to invest much resources.
