Rumour: IBM to buy NetApp

A Mercury News report published in the Miami Herald speculates that IBM might purchase Network Appliance, a network storage device company. Apparently NetApp shares have surged in response to rumours about a takeover.

SEC probing IBM earnings

Apparently IBM has stated that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is investigating the first quarter earnings report from 2005 - particularly in regard to expensing stock options. Goldman Sachs still rating IBM “outperform”
